Janusz Marynowski’s collection
The collection accumulated by Janusz Marynowski is integrally related with the Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra which he conducted. It comprises fifteen contemporary batons made in the 20th and 21st century, which were used by such outstanding conductors as Jerzy Semkow, Jerzy Maksymiuk, and Yehudi Menuhin. Several exhibits come from the studio of an American musician and eminent baton maker, Richard Horowitz. The collection also includes batons broken by Yehudi Menuhin while working with his orchestras.
