Black, two-piece baton with silver fittings; conical body made of dark, French-polished wood, screwed together under a ring located at halfway point; grip fitting and ring with a frame and inscription decorated with an impressed floral twig motif; plain tip fitting. Hallmarked in London in 1920, silversmith’s mark OO. This commemorative baton was presented to J.W. Barron by St. James Choral Society (a choral society affiliated at a St. James Church, town unknown), date on the inscription: 1920-1921
