symmetrical baton made of dark French-polished wood; short, cylindrical body ending with identical plain cylindrical fittings made of silvered metal with decorative “teeth” carved on the edges (there is a gap between the edges of the fittings and the smooth, wooden body of the baton); the tips of the fittings are flat with engraved inscriptions;
