Black baton with brass fittings; conical body made of dark, French-polished wood; fittings on both ends of the body; ring with an inscription at 1/3 of the length; fittings and ring richly engraved with geometrical and floral patterns with serrated sides. The baton was owned by the Scottish conductor James Moodie, who received it from the members of the combined choirs of Dunfermline in 1888.
