Commemorative baton with an inscription certifying the participation of the Wesley Choir at the Accrington festival in 1920, and a monogram, possibly the conductor’s initials; conical body, black-lacquered; octagonal silver fitting at the end of the grip, with decoratively serrated side and a monogram engraved at the tip; at 2/5 of the body a silver octagonal ring with decoratively carved sides and an engraved inscription; rounded tip made of silver; all silver components engraved with a characteristic motif of leaves with simplified, geometrical shapes (similar leaf motives can be encountered in batons from the same collection, under inventory numbers 11, 75, 101, 112, and on another fitting in baton no. 162); hallmarked in London in 1920, silversmith’s mark OO
