Body made of black wood and ivory; ivory grip decorated with a blackened twig pattern sprouting from a flower pot, as well as geometrical ornaments and convex rings encrusted with round panels made of mother of pearl; tip of the grip finished with a small metal ball; ivory tip of the baton fashioned similarly, ending with an ivory ball; wooden section decoratively narrowing in the middle of the length, decorated with round panels made of mother of pearl; metal band attached to the middle section of the body decorated with floral patterns, with room for inscriptions; on the wooden handle, close to the ivory grip, a mark after a missing plate attached with nails. The baton is nearly identical (including its dimension) with baton JSW 120 from the same collection, with only minute differences. A drawing of a very similar baton with a flowerpot motif with a plant can be found in mail catalogs of several music companies from the turn of the 19^th and 20^th century (C. Bruno & Son, New York, USA, ca. 1890; G. und A. Klemm, Markneukirchen, Germany, ca. 1900), including an identical one (except for the small ball on top of the grip) in the catalogue J.W. Jenkins’ Sons Music Co. (Kansas City, USA; presently Jenkins Music Company) dated ca. 1890, available at 17.5 USD.
