Conical body made of light, French-polished wood (oiled or waxed); at 2/5 of the length, a metal ring with a wide, ferruled component with an inscription, and an oval component imitating a laurel wreath (?); grip fitting with a dull finish and serrated edges with round holes, each component richly engraved; on the sides of the fitting, several panels engraved with triangular leaves with geometrical contours, similar to those in other batons from the same collection (inventory numbers JSW 11, 75, 100, 101, 112, 162); tip fitting shaped and decorated similarly to the grip fitting. The baton is similar to exhibit no. JSW 162 (Lady Brooke’s baton)
