Baton with meander and laurel leaves motives; body made of dark, French-polished wood, narrowing along 1/3 of the length; grip fitting decorated with a frieze with laurel leaves, fitting on the tip adorned with a meander motif, both tips ending with small balls; in the mid-section of the body, a wide fitting with room for inscription, decorated with a frieze with laurel leaves motives. Similar batons may be found in the same collection under inventory numbers KS 5 and in J.S. Witkiewicz’s collection under inventory numbers JSW 21 and 23 (baton from Oignies), 140, 16, 20, and 121
