Black baton with silver fittings adorned with the motif of acanthus leaves; conical body made of dark, French-Polished wood; grip and dip fittings closely fitted to the body, engraved with acanthus leaves and serrated on the sides, finished with small balls – the small ball atop the grip has a flowery shape; at approximately 1/2 of the length, a ring with an engraved inscription was added, serrated on the sides analogically to the remaining fittings. Hallmarked in Sheffield. As per inscription, the baton was presented to S. Higham, possibly by a church choir, in July 1897.
